Cuvée Grandiflora - Fetească Neagră & Merlot & Negru de Dragășani
Fetească Neagră and Merlot are two grape varieties that had been long established in Romania and are proving well matched to the region of Drăgășani, producing graceful wines. Negru de Drăgășani is a unique and interesting grape variety which found its origins in the distinctive soil of Drăgășani, where it has been able to express its characteristics at its best.
The wines forming this blend are aged separately during 15 months in French new oak barrels.
This is an intense ruby wine.
This wine has a powerful bouquet of fresh black blackcurrant and violet,
with a hint of chocolate.
The palate is generously full with some intense fruity flavours with a subtle hint of fresh grounded coffee.
The velvety and ripe tannins show a great ageing potential.
To be served at around 18°C, with grill beef stake.
